Mit dem Modell „solar“ wird die totale Unabhängigkeit von Landstromanbindungen wahr. Begehbare, im Vorschiff komplett integrierte Solarpaneele ermöglichen ständiges Laden der Antriebs- sowie Versorgungsbatterien und damit Energie auch ohne Steg- oder Hafenplatz.
In Zusammenarbeit mit dem High Tech Unternehmen Solbian Solar bietet A-Yachts das Modell „a27 solar“ an. Das Deck dieser Yacht lädt umweltfreundlich und unabhängig vom Landstromanschluss die Batterien für Antrieb und Bordelektrik. Ein speziell für A-Yachts entwickeltes Solarmodul wird passgenau und voll begehbar ins Vordeck integriert. Die Struktur der Oberfläche ist mit einem Anti-Rutsch Belag versehen und kann in verschiedenen Optiken und Farben geordert werden. Das bloßfüssige Begehen der Solarpaneele ist sehr angenehm und man hat auch bei Krängung einen guten und sicheren Stand.
Die Photovoltaikanlage ist genauso robust verklebt wie das Teakdeck und damit in keinster Weise empfindlich. Die Oberfläche ist leicht pigmentiert und damit leicht grau. Damit verliert man fast keine Leistung und sieht die einzelnen Zellen nicht. Das System arbeitet autonom, die Ladung der Batterien erfolgt während der Sonnenstunden des Tages vollautomatisch - unabhängig davon ob das Boot an der Boje liegt oder gesegelt wird. Die speziellen MPPT-Regler liefern dabei eine optimale Ladekurve, zehn ins Solarmodul integrierte Dioden überbrücken Bereiche die sich im Schatten befinden um die Energieausbeute zu maximieren. Die Photovoltaikanlage reicht perfekt aus, dass sowohl der Antriebsakku als auch die Bordelektronik immer geladen sind. Die Laderegler sind kaum größer als Handyladegeräte und fallen daher kaum auf.
Wie auf den Bildern zu sehen kann das Solarmodul mit einem Teakdeck im Seitenbereich des Vordecks und im Cockpit kombiniert werden.

In cooperation with high-tech solar panel provider Solbian Solar, A-Yachts created the "a27 Solar" model. The deck of this yacht charges the engine batteries and on-board electrics in an environmentally friendly way with no use of shore power. A solar module exclusively developed for A-Yachts has been integrated into the bow deck with a precise fit and full accessibility. The structure of the surface is coated with an anti-slip finish and can be ordered in various looks and colors. Bare-foot walking on the solar panels is comfortable and stable even when heeling.
The photovoltaic system is glued as robustly as the teak deck and is therefore in no way fragile. The surface is pigmented lightly and therefore slightly gray. This means that almost no power is lost and the individual cells are not visible. The system works autonomously, the batteries are being charged fully automatically during the sunny hours of the day - regardless of whether the yacht is at the moorings or being sailed. The special MPPT controllers provide an optimal charging curve, ten diodes integrated into the solar module bridge areas that are in the shade to maximize the energy yield. The photovoltaic system is perfectly sufficient to ensure that both the engine battery and the on-board electronics are always charged. The charge controllers are barely larger than cell phone chargers and therefore hardly noticeable.
As shown in the pictures, the solar panel can be combined with a teak deck in the side areas of the bow deck and in the cockpit.
